The Sydenham Swans Rugby League Club was established in 1913 and is one of the four inaugural Canterbury Rugby League clubs.
Over the Swans 105 year history, the Swans have won 16 senior titles, with a six-peat occurring between 1913 - 1919.
The Sydenham Swans have also produced some of the finest New Zealand talent including; Pita Godinet, Jeremy Smith, David Field, David Vaelaliki and Robert Tanielu.
The Sydenham Swans are now based at Bradford Park, Sydenham and are looking towards a successful 2019 season. The club has seen many exciting and new changes over the past few years with the appointment of a new President and new committee members, the club is looking on the rise towards success once more.
The appointment of a Club Development Officer Liam Gardiner, for the first time in club history is a strong sign that the club is growing and rebuilding for strong long-term success.
